There is aequidens rivulatus and then there is aequidens sp. rivulatus

the return of the 'true green terror' is here by some breeders. they are a bit more bland in color but have said to be alot more aggressive.

For the most part there are three different types of fish that are commonly called the green terror . The gold saum and the silver saum and then the true green terror . if u go onto the water snake he can explain it the best he has an article breaking it down. Although at first glance they are hard to tell apart in fact they are easy to tell apart. Gold saums have gold edges and the true green terror has white edges. but the white saum aslo has white edges. But to tell the the true green terror from the saums are u have to look at the scales saums have the colors in between the scales , you know the green you see and and the true green terror has it on the scales. Also the true green terror grows smaller then the saums. The true green terror also has some red and black on it and the saums do u have it . This article explains it all

true green terrors are very very green and aggresive..... gold saum is not a hybrid they call them royal terror or rivu redtails the true greens were almost gone from the hobby and now is available mostly in f1 or wild caught
