What is a good center piece?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
you should get a nice big mother colony of monitpora as your coral center piece and for a fish center piece ummm... Mystery Wrasse or a trio of anthaisis.

wow lots of choices. i dont think i will go for the tusk because i love my cleaner shrimp. he is awsome. going to do a lil more research but im going to get either the flame angle or the mystery wrasse. Im leaning more toward the wrasse. i think hes cool. thanks for all the sugestion!

i agree with biggourami, a lemarks angel would be nice in there. everywhere i read said they are pretty much one of the only reef safe angels. but i got one in my 75 FOWLR and he is awesome! very cool colors, energetic, all over the tank, i think he doesnt like the air bubbles from the stone cause sometimes he would shoot over to bite at the air bubbles then swim away. very graceful in the water too

cool, ill have to check on the lamarck's angel. when i first started looking i was looking at angels but every one i came across was not reef safe or got to big for the tank i have. as of now im leaning toward the mystery wrasse. but i still wanna do some reseach before i make my final pick. again thank everyone for the suggestion!

do some deep research, i havent gone too in depth seeing if they are definitely reef safe or if people have had them pick on corals cause i dont have any. but the little i have saw said they are ok for a reef

my center peice and probly the most charismatic fish ive ever seen , even more then my sharks which obvously are not in my reef tank is my rockmover wrasses. he is none stop playing with somthing or just being a show off.

Get a Desjardini Zebrasoma or Red Sea Sailfin Tang! Or any tang for that matter. Not just beautiful they also eat algae. What a great working fish thats also good lookin.
