I currently have a Hujeta ("rocket") Gar already. Other than that, I just have 2 giant danios and an albino rainbow shark. So, I'm looking at re-stocking a bit. I've previously kept a Maculata ("South American Spotted") Gar and a black ghost knifefish in the tank, although I knew both would outgrow it eventually. However, both died prematurely in unrelated incidents. This time, I would prefer to get something I can plan on keeping in the 45 long term. One option I've looked into is the Brown Ghost Knifefish, because it only gets to be about 13" or so. However, I have seen a few things about those not being as healthy, so I'm not sure if that's the right option. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.
