i have a terta tec pond pump that moves 1100 gph it was cheap and works good but has to be submerged mine is in my sump

my mag drive runs really quiet. i have it set-up externally and have no problems, its better than the rio pump i had

would it be better to be internally or externally on mag drives? they said it would produce heat on the water but wouldn't that be good since your heater wouldn't need to put too much heat anymore? or does it make the water really warm to a point of 79 and up? i just need my tank to be at 77F. planning to have 2x 250W stealth marineland heaters on the 180 gal.
