The bigger the tank the easier it is to look after small tanks can turn just like that a larger water volume less problems as other people have suggested depends what you want to keep but if you are into the hobby and have been into it for a while get the biggest you can afford and make certain your floor can handle it if you are new get a simple set up see if you like the hobby big tanks cost big money

Remember, you can always keep small fish in big tanks but not the other way around.

Depending on how much space you have to work with, Id say go with either a 120Gal 4'x2'x2' or if you can a 180Gal 6'x2'x2' both good sizes.

 6x2x2 if you can afford and accommodate etc etc this is a really nice tank and as guppy said would look brilliant with a load of small fish or 3-4 huge fish

It really depends on your space and budget constraints. As mentioned earlier, a 180 gallon (6'L x 2'W x 2'H) is a pretty good starting point for keeping larger aquarium fish. It offers ample width and length and is much more affordable than larger, custom sized tanks.

no matter what tank you get you will always want a bigger one just wait. and soon it will have babies to use as quarantine or for feeders or for fry mine just never stop growing
