What is a good wet pet?

So, you're willing to invest and can handle the upkeep of something over 200gal+?

I don't know your fishkeeping experience or financial status but tanks over 200gal are not like that of owning a 55gal. Just a friendly FYI

Large tank- black rhom, dovii, jag, black nasty
Med tank - flowerhorn, jack Dempsey (reclusive), green terror, red texas, parrot fish
Small tank - pair of breeding convicts or 2 depending on tank size. Not to much to choose from with smaller tanks. A nice community tank with fake pink plants and snails.

I assume your looking for a medium tank with saying oscar, midas and red devil. Get a flowerhorn if you like hybrids. They have great personalities and are aggreszive. You can manage with a 55 gal with heavy filtration. 75 is ideal though. Do yourself a favor and spend 250 on a good quality fish. If you can't find someone that has a nice one get it imported from thialand. You an get aaa for 2 to 300. If not hybrids green terrors are cool. You can do 1 big male in a 55 or 2 in a 75.

Black rhom or dovii. Black nasty are good looking fish but get stressed easily and really they do best with with another fish for best colors.

You could also do tilapia buttikoferi but they are african. Super aggressive though
