What is a Gorillus Blue?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Ive done weeks of research on every fish i own. But yes, i might occasionally make a thread about a fish asking Personal opinions and experiences on a fish.

Oh so you do research but will make a thread looking for more info and when someone links that info. for you just keep asking when the answers are just a click away? Or are you just attempting to seem more magnanimous than I by standing up for an obviously lazy poster? Ego stroking perhaps?

No ill click the link and read it. If i dont find a the info im looking for ill ask. I guess im just the type that will do a lot of research to also help others and not just myself. I dont even know why were arguing over this. You come in hp someone in your way and i helped them in my way.

Seriously?! So you didn't even try looking up the info using the search and then when I even go through the trouble to give you a link and a source of info and possible sale you won't even click it instead you keep asking people to hand feed you answers. I pity your fish if this is reflective of the effort you put toward maintaining them.

Hey Koltsix, I actually did look at your link and it did help alot. I was just clarifying with my next post to get a better understanding of the topic. The reason I post on here (even though I have done research) is to get advice from actual experienced fish owners instead of whatever is floating around the internet. I guess my previous post bothered you, I hope you don't feel neglected because that was not my intention. I did not force you to "find me info" because I am "too lazy". If you dont like a thread (or for whatever crazy reason a poster you dont even know) I encourage you not to post on it, as you have that option. I hope your having a good day and all is well for you, I wish you the best with that attitude. :chillpill:

@Oscar98 Thank you for your responses, they are exactly how I feel :)

Hey Empyreal, the fact that you asked what a Blue Gorillus is and essentially followed up asking again what it is after being given an answer and a source for additional info. shows just how much research you actually did as I found the info. within a minute searching on MFK. There's no attitude as much as surprise as when people help you because you apparently didn't search(easily seen by your question as the info is readily available) it surprises me. As for options yes I have many that I'm aware of and one is responding to a thread and if I was giving you an attitude, trust me you'd know it. With that said I too wish you a good day and hope all is well for you and wish you the best with either your incompetence sourcing info. or laziness. I imagine it's the latter as your last post shows a semblance of intelligence which I guess you just didn't apply to sourcing info on the Blue Gorillus.

Your an idiot. Why are you on MFK at all? Seriously who attacks someones posts like this? How old are you? Your an idiot reposting someone elses information and taking pride over it. Get over yourself.

Gorillus blue (along with Gorillus BLACK) are two new color variants of Caquetaia umbriferus. They are the same species just collected in different parts of Colombia. Here are two pictures of my old Gorillus blue pair along with my other umbee.uploadfromtaptalk1364422248649.jpguploadfromtaptalk1362366789617.jpgDSC_0007.JPG

Gorillus blue is a fish. But hey this fish forum is a place to ask question if you don't know the information. Sometimes links may not even be enough info to look at so go ahead and keep asking away. There is no problem with that.

Look guys. This is the exact reason MFK is going to ****!! Klotsix is an expirienced hobbiest like myself who was trying to lead a horse to water. I have been there my self on both sides, looking for info and giving info. No need to discredit eachother or call names!! I totally understand where he is coming from but at the same time, he could have kept his frustration to himself.

A gorillus umbee is nothing like an EBJD! Those are produced by normal , BGJD, and or Ebjds which all come from same fish essentially. The gorillus are their own varient which is completely abundant in their environment. Not something you can create by breeding fish. The reason why there isn't much information on the web is because these umbees were just recently introduced I to the hobby. And are still underway with developing scientific information for everyone. All that we can give to you is personal info from experience. From my experience, these can be kept just like any other umbee. Including growth, size, tank req, foods, etc. except for when it comes to breeding, these guys require a bit more attention. The only way to really find out is to own them :) so contact Umbeeking and get some for yourself:)

Most of the hobbiest have purchased the gorillus blacks and have spawned them. I have the gorillus blues and have spawned them successfully multiple times. If you would like to see videos and pics please feel free to check out my website that is in the bottom of my post, located in my signature:) it will link you to my YouTube and Facebook

Lol! You made me laugh, gettin' all butt hurt and trying to insult me with a childish slander while calling my age in to question, can you say hypocrite? Seriously I almost pee'd myself as I read your post as you obviously tripped over yourself in a rage, can't even retort with any kind of finesse as you had to resort to calling me an idiot twice but I should get over myself.lol! Thanks for the laugh though.

Sir you are correct I should've kept my frustration to myself as all I did was give people a reason to reply and if I had kept my trap shut the OP would've just been forced to search the info. himself. I also thank you for seeing both sides as well and handling the situation with tact which I myself lacked.
