I got 4 delhezi and 4 ornate... in a 180. now delhezi grows out to be 14" and ornate at 24". the size i mentioned is hard to attain, usually fish growth depends on several factors, but one main point is the space you provide also influence how big they can grow, but be cautious, some of them still goes big even if the space is small.
what are some very colorful poly's that would fit in a 55?
and what size fish would be to big for a grown delhezi to eat? a 4in con, 7in dempsey, 3in zebra?

I kept a Delhezi and Buettikoferi in a 50 Breeder (18" wide), they got along great but I think the Buettikoferi can get up to 18". Both of mine were under a foot.
Not as gr8 on the eyes, but I have 3 senegals and they are cool as all hell
