is there a name of a purple parrot or its still blood parrot? I drop by at LFS to buy an anti-chlorine when i see this one i can't stop my self to buy it because of its color.

Its been dyed.
Slime coat removed and dipped into harsh dyes. This kills many fish and in my opinion isnt a good practice. The purple will fade off in a couple weeks and the color will go back to the "normal" pinky orange.

Yeah. If he lives, he'll at least be interesting. Take good care of him if you have the space and don't mind dismembered, acid-dipped hybrids floating in your tanks. I've taken on some pretty ugly fish myself. GL with him.
A regular blood parrot that got dyed. There is such thing as purple parrot though, they are also known as king kong parrot.

Well, those are healthy. They are colorful, too. And definitely had the genes to reach maturity.
But they're still fail fish! Then again, so is my Oscar if you don't like Oscars.
I guess 'great' is a relative term.
It's good to see healthy fish, really, even if they aren't real fish. Gºod job growing them out.
