I have read about people feeding their monsters beefheart. I was wondering what it is and where do i get it? I am assuming it is the heart of cattle or a cow, do i have to get "beef heart" from a butcher. I want to beef up my fish, and read that this would be a good way. Thanks for the info

i should add there is not a fish on earth that NEEDS it ask any supermarket they give it to you

You can buy it fresh and clean all the fat off it. Then cut to the sizes your fish can handle and feed it directly to them. If doing your own slicing and dicing turns you off, many merchants offer frozen cut beef heart as fish food. Or, you can buy prepared beef heart in flake, pellet, or stick form fish foods.

dude do u have food city get it fresh
every supermarket that butchers their own beef can hook it up fresh is always better and like said you even get to slice and dice

ok, i will just ask the butcher at my supermarket. I wasnt sure if it was sold as "people food" I doubted it, but while looking i found pig feet, pig snouts, 3 diffrent kinds of livers, and all sorts of other foods i wouldnt touch with a 10 foot pole.

thanks for the help

Or you can sneak up on cows with a really long, sharp knife.

beefheart is much cheaper at the butchers for sure...

i get mine from the local butchers, i just call ahead and make sure they put one aside for me, as its not something people regularly get, haha.
costs me about 10bux canadian and the friggin thing is bigger than my head!!!

cut off all the big tendons, veins and fat bits, and you'll have more than enough to feed your monsters for months...

cheers man hope that helps...

Just go to the supermarket.

Its very cheap.

You can even make your own mixes after that..just throw it in the blender with some veges and then freeze it flat in a plastic bag.
