Just opened the tank. Have a 12" synodontis (had to get him out of my other African tank), 3" blood parrot. Looking for Pbass or festae pair...cant find 'em in jersey. Any other suggestions? Only want a couple big fellas.
anything not overly agressive bichirs are kinda passive unless they have size advantage lol jus watch and make sure he dnt get picked on most plecos will eat bichir slime coat killn the bichir iz ur tank covered bichirs r jumpers keep an eye on the parrot the bichir may try 2 take him out at lites out if he gets hungry
No Rosy Red Minnows, and Goldfish are horrible have little nutritional value and harbor dieseases.....I'd recommend either breeding your own Mollies and gut load them with High Protien foods, or just Tilapia filets(cut into little squares) market shrimp, Massivore pellets, Bloodworms and Blackworms.....Furthermore Rosy Reds/Goldies have Thiaminase which breaks down Vitamin B if you feed too many of these pesky critters you may have a Bichir with poor growth and weak immune system....And Senegals are THE MOST ACTIVE BICHIR they always are active and I only feed him guppys/mollies once every few months....Besides Massivore is worth 2.3 Goldfish per pellet at ten cents USD you save a but load.....Feeding Feeders is okay on occasion but try to keep it to Guppys/Mollies/Convicts that have been quarentined for 2 weeks
Thanks, I have a few guppis in there now. Though I am sure it will take him sometime to relax. He has yet to eat at all, how do I provoke him to eat?? And what should I feed first to help him feel comfy? Keep in mind...I have a 10" CK in there.
