What is it about a fish bite?

My red bellied pirhana bit me and I bled like a stuck pig. I got rid of those demon spawn and got a cute oscar...yeah right. That fish always scares me like im a little kid and he doesnt even have teeth!!! I think the Pirhanas made me gun shy!!
well, is not really me, but is my cat..... i use to have a 90 gallon and a 18 inch rhom (black piranha) i had that thing for 7 years, and one day it decides to drown my kitten... so one day i got back, and see a dead cat in my tank with blood, fur all over the place. so i got mad and traded that thing for a snow blower 
(that worth $2800 back then and was only used for 1 season)...oh and i took picture of the cat and piranha and all that...but some f***er stole my camera :s

When I open the tank I make sure that my fingers are no where near the water.The Floridar Gar likes to bite whenever anything hits the water. It's been real close to me totally getting mad and slamming the lid back down and cussing out a fish, lol.
My green terror bites me every time I do a water change. Really freaked me out when he started doing that but i've kinda gotten used to it. Always biting the hand that feeds him. 
On a daily basis I go into barns with one ton cows that have just calved and remove their calves. Lets just say that they are not exactly gentle or happy with me. I don't even think twice about this. However whenever I've got to put my hand in the tank with my jag I've got a net between him and me and if he so much as makes a move at me my arm is flying out of the water.
Heh , my green is very well behaved. He hates sticks though , as you can see in my avatar. I can pet him and he will move towards me to be stratched. For some reason though he will rip titanium sticks in half and i dont hesitate to remove my hand when his mouth gets to close for comfort.
