What is it?? And how do I get rid of it??

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
This to me seems like absolutely terrible advice.

+1

It does not look like lympho to me, nor would lympho typically show up so severe overnight. And I agree with Jamie, it's near impossible to accurately ID a disease from a photo, especially a poor photo. Sometimes even in person one is only guessing unless they take a sample & place it under a microscope, and actually know what to look for.

Glad to hear that he's doing better ........

Im trying to help Blesone with this hurtin fish because I experienced it before.

It sucks when I give the right advice and ignorant ppl trying to take its cure away and let it hurt longer.

Yeah. I've cured this before and never let it got this bad. Cured without meds. I think this case needs the aid of medication.

Let me have the fish if you can't fix him before he dies.

or do what I adviced you and you'll see it heal. Not trying to be knowledgeable. I don't know jack. But I know how to fix this problem :)

GL!!!

Completely and whole heartedly agree with the animal guy. Open the wound use salt/wc and i have used bifuran with tons of sucess.

Good luck
Drew

He seems to be doing better this morning, I noticed the right side is showing a lot less redness and is healing up for the most part. He is beginning to get more of his usual color back too and is more active now. Still not feeding until another week atleast.

I will post updates and pictures on here and I appreciate all the help and comments. I'm not sure that pulling the fish out and applying pressure at the infected area is something Id be willing to try though, atleast not at the moment... but thanks animal guy

Ignorant ppl might say that if fish is already healing up for the most part, the last thing one should do is press and/or pick at the wound causing the potential for additional bacterial infection at the site of the wound.
