Guessing teacup....er I mean Mantilla???
 
Having a hard time finding any pics of what Mantillas look like as pups. This stuff confuses me. At first I thought Mantilla was a species then find out it's a generic name like Teacup...... Then if a Henlei and Motoro get together the pups are "Mantilla". I feel the more you try to understand the more lost you get...... I wonder if women and rays are related?

Well depends on who you ask, I myself think there is a particular type of ray that is the real mantilla I have owned this ray before it died last month. Then you have guys trying to sell rays who love to just create fake names and apply them to fish they simple cannot ID themselves. This is not the REAL MANTILLA, also I have never seen henlei and motoro produce anything like a mantilla ever that is also not true in my opinion. Henlei and motoro cross produce a pup that has spots I have seen quite a few pups from this cross and never has one looked like a mantilla.
 
Well you have seen pics of the "Mantilla" I have. Brad said he knows for a fact that it was the product of a Marble father and Henlei/Motoro mother. Mine looks just like many other rays on here that are being called "Mantilla". So either Brad is wrong or everyone else's Mantillas are mis I.D.ed or mine is just a freak that looks just like the real Mantillas.
 
Would the REAL Mantilla please stand up??? Mike can you post some pics of YOUR Mantilla?
 
dumerli or orbigny? did you get rid of your marble yet? i just lost a male i would take if i was closer you can't beat purchasing a ray someone has had in captivity for a while.
 
No I didn't sell the Marble. Probobly never will as no one within driving distance of me keeps rays. I guess if I'm gonna sell it I need to figure out shipping. Definetly been in captivity a while.... I got it from Nickdog.
 
Common brown ray from either Peru or Colombia.. if it costs more than a Motoro, someone is :bs:

could be Dumerelli, Orbignyi, Humerosa.. depends alot on regionality and better pix.. but I dont know how to tell the 3 apart anyways
