my dad wants to get a pair, im just curious what its like, are they an entertaining species, are they interactive, how aggressive can they get, was it a rewarding experience for u?can someone whos owned tell me please.

Its rewarding if you get them at fry (or no colour) And grow into a beautiful specimen. But mine was pretty shy not much of a wet pet. But when it had a tank mate (that it didn't kill) it was more active. mine were not aggressive to the eye but once lights were out and you woke up fish were attacked.... a pair I believe would be much more promising

My fish life is sparked up with Polys :)

I just got my first two festae a few months ago and its really cool to see them get their colors. Mine are a little bit bigger than an inch and are showing aggression towards each other in a 55g. As for tank size 75g is enough for a female a 125g is good for a pair. Males get 15-20in female around 12in or a little bit bigger. Personality wise in not sure mine are still small and not interactive. Most pairs will not tolerate tankmates. Ex: my 1 in festae was trying to fight my 5in male convict. Also some will bite your hand

I have never taken them to their best, because i find them to be very shy and i loose my patience and swap them.

Having said this, a big, sure ofhimself, Festae, is a fish to celebrate, in any event. And the females are absolutely beautifull.
