What is it Worth?

If you love him...keep him. If your not in love, get rid of him while someone else still thinks they can house them.

Jardini and black aros don't hold their value here in Alberta when they get bigger. They are nearly impossible to sell back to the local fish stores as they always use the excuse they have no room. There recently has been a bunch of Jardini up for sale and most were $150 and lower. I think people are selling because the price on RTG's,etc has come down. I have a pair of black arowanas but originally started with 4 and the last two I sold I only got $100 each and they were about 16". I don't get the reason behind it as people will pay $299 for a small Black aro at the store and they will pay $100 for a small Jardini at the store. But they won't pay more for a bigger well established aro. To sell online you have to be in the right place at the right time and hopefully that one person will appreciate the fish and the job that was done to get it too a bigger size and then maybe they will pay a little more. Otherwise you end up almost giving them away.

acttr
try $200

That large most people don't have the tank space and they are harder to sell. Over all to me they are most expensive when they are about 18" long

True not worth that much you would need to find someone with a empty tank who just want to keep one fish in it

Not many people want to buy large aros over 15inch of any kind

Thats a huge fish.
Not sure about the prices or demands in your place.
But if it was me, id be happy if someone would adopt em and give them good care, because as mentioned by others, demands for huge fishes are lower and people who can house em are rare.
