Does that just mean frozen shrimp you can buy at the grocery store?? Wouldn't that get kinda expensive??

Any particular kind/brand that is better to buy? Is there any kind you should avoid buying?? Is this something that rays might take to faster than other kinds of foods??

I buy frozen, peeled and deveined shrimp from Target for 6.99 per pound. I paid $40 for 2.2 lbs of Omega One pellets. It's a fairly cheap addition to your monster diet.

there is no brands, thats why its called market shrimp, shrimp you buy at the market :P, also there is jumbo which is more expensive, regular, and the peeled and veined. I like the regular ones but you have to peel them and take the poop out if you want.

and 1 pound for $4-5ish is not expensive imo

Go with the cheapest kind. Dont spend more than $5/lb. I go to chinatown and get for 3.50/lb in NYC, so I bet you can find a spot in NC that has them for about the same price. Oh, and make sure that you get with the shells on.

Why shells on?? You take the shells off before you feed, right?

shells have some nutrition so if your fish like the shells also then thats a plus. Also forgot to mention you can also try Tilapia fillet. Much easier to handle, cut to bite size. both shrimp and tilapia sink.

I buy shrimp with shell and everything (nature doesn't devein) i heard it helps coloration.my old ray loved it and my current fish love it as well , i also tried octopus and flounder . very cheap and the fish love it.
