not a true gar. Skylar69 all the info that you need about real gars is in that website that you link to. You might want to spend some time on this forum and do some leg work to find out what you need. Thats what I do.

it is a Boulengerella maculata (spotted pike characin) not a true gar.

I have seen those in fish stores by the name "Rocket Gar" I dont know if that is their true name though.
