Well you see I thought the hang ons added to the problem.... I have 2 ac 110s sitting in the stand... I took them off a few days ago... In my FX5 I have bottom layer I have water polishing pads, middle is carbon and top is biomax.... The two ac110a have sponge and carbon aswell.... Im going to put the one ac110 back on. Scrape it do a wc and see what happens.

As a pure curiosity question.... Would a pleco eat this stuff ? (not looking for a cheap solution ovbiously because I have 2 filters sitting under my tank if i wanted that lol)

Also where would you recomend I place the filters ? I have the fx5 intake about a foot in from the left side and the out take at the top right of the tank... Will putting the ac110 right beside the fx5 intake mess it up or blow away water ?

Just get a algae magnet (if you don't already have one). I have the same crap in my tanks and it takes me like 1 minute to clean both the glass on my 150 and 75.

My siphon is 1-2" of the substrate my ac110 is barely in the water. And a pleco may eat some of it but it will end up pooping more then u want. As cog said an algae scrapper or magnet works great.

I have it too. I don't think its a bad thing. I just use a magnet scraper every time I water change. I think its a green algae because I have noticed some green algae on my structures, minimal amounts, and my bala sharks eat the hell out of it

Same issue here, I just have to scrape it every few weeks. Sucks though cause it's a 600 acrylic so time, patience and caution is needed.
