WHAT IS SHE(?) DOING??

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It looks like alot, maybe 10? Or even 15? But they're in the back of the tank. So I cant make it out so well. But now I need help!! I've done searches on how to care for the fry properly and cant find any good links! They're very vague. Anyone have a care sheet for convict fry care. Like what to feed, how often, can I do water changes, anything else I need to do, etc. Please! First time fry-gramma X)

I dont know about a care sheet, But all I do is grind flake up real fine between my fingers. The fine flake and the parents taking care of them they will be fine.

Do your normal water changes, I wouldnt suggest using the gravel vacuum since they hide there. I have noticed that convict fry do really well in a tank that has algae on the glass. If you can stand to look at the algae.

Next thing you know you will have soooooo many convicts you cant give them away

Unfortunately, I can't afford another tank right now. Aggh. Also, how do I feed them the ground flakes?? I can't very well stick my hand in there. We've established that part! And I know they gotta eat! Yikes!

They are breeding, for all you know there could be eggs inside that cave..

be sure to cover your intake tube/filter..i cover mine with a piece of pantyhose tied off by a rubber band till my babies are bigger..dont want no babies sucked up..

i feed mine the crushed flakes, and with the movement of the water, the flakes should sink down to them.. my mom con, will actually eat, then spit the food out for the babies to eat..babies i fed 3-4 times a day.. not a lot, just enough for them so snack through out the day.

with my baby danios and cories i changed a lil water each day.. just a couple of gallons each day..my baby tank is a 20 gallon, so i would usually tank out 2 or 3 gallons a day..

hope this helps.

:iagree:

When they get bigger though you want to sell/give away/start a new grow out tank. You have a little while though :)
