Pups are going for around $1500. So a breeding female will obviously fetch much more.

I hate to point out the obvious, but since you admitted that the male didn't make it for more than 6 months in your care, I think that $500 is fair for the adult female, it may not be that healthy of a fish.

I think that a guaranteed young but ready to breed, 3 year old female or so, could fetch in the $3000 range, depending on if you could ship or not.

Hey guys, I need your help. Been thinking about selling my female Henlei for a couple of months now. She is about 17 inches. I originally purchased a pair from DW. In April of 2007, two fully developed pups were born dead. On Sept. 1th of 2007 she had 1 pup, which I still have today. The big male died in October of 2007. She seems to be a very aggresive female. If I decide to sell, how much do you think my asking price should be?
