What is so special about Gold Severums?

I got an 8 incher off of two 4" xingu 1 pikes. I think that is about a 10-20 dollar trade in. Are you sure they are not super red gold cichlids. I have seen those before and they are pretty expensive.

There are 2" gold severums for $9.99 here at Petsbarn, and they are pretty good sized, too.
