I like acaras, but GTs get too big for my set-up . . . can never find anything but GTs in the LFS, don't think I've ever seen a Blue Acara for sale around here . . .

I got mine from Dave's rare fish. I tried to do as much research as I could but you're right there isn't a lot of info about them. I did know a guy who has one so I asked him a bunch of questions. I was super prepared when I got the eel but he's has been VERY easy. When I got him he was already eating frozen bloodworms and was eating 2 hours after being in the tank. Just today he was picking at some pellets when I was too slow to get the worms in the tank.

What size tank is he in and what are his tank mates?

He's in a 29 gallon until he gets bigger, then he's moving to a 80 gallon. He's only 5" long right now. I have some other Tangs in the tank as well. I have some white calvus and a C. Brichardi along with some endlers for dithers. The tank is planted with play sand and some rocks. The water is HARD and the PH is 8.4. Since they are wild caught I was a little worried about the PH but he's adjusted well.

some red belly piranha or tat payara. also the exodon/bucktooth tetra. i haven't ever found either one. i finally found my south american mini bumblebee catfish and bumblebee puffers, just gotta get a tank for them. nice eel btw

I've said this in probably every thread similar to this one thats popped up, but to answer the Q. again, i'd love to have Cross River Puffer...

Still looking for one, and still haven't ever seen one for sale...
