What is the average tank size on MFK???

Dang, so many have so big!! Biggest I ever had was 30gal tank! I was surely deprived in my youthful days!

Now I have a 20gal starter (or restarter as it is just 6mos. old after out of the hobby since 1993!)

but seeing all the discus related posts/forums & I got the itch to start my own discus family so bought a 72gal bowfront off CL now cycling.

so my avg is easy 20 + 72 = 92 / 2 = 46 gal

way way below the MFK avg!

I say go for the big ones - if you have the room & $ to support it!

Got 2 10s, 20, 55, and 120 for my tanks. Average is 43 gallons, which isn't much.

I had to wait until I moved out of my parents house and bought my own house until I could get a 6 footer.

sometimes, you just have to wait for the big big tanks.

thats life sometimes. for 19 of the last 20 years keeping fish, the ibiggest tank I had was a 90.
