What is the best and cheapest way to insulate garage?

Hi everyone any experienced??? On what is the easiest way and less expensive to insulate or make your gagrage warm for your fish tanks to keep?...Thanks in advance.

Could specifically explain the plastic barrier thing and what did you use for heating the garage with?

I go a different route and insulate my tank with styrofoam. I only have one tank in the garage though.

what do you do with the styro?

I have my fish room in the basement and also insulate most tanks with styrofoam. I just tape sheets/blocks of it on the sides and back. Makes a huge difference. I only need about 1.5-2.0 WPG to heat those tanks.

Build a 2x4 frame around the fish room and staple thick plastic to it. Then you just heat the area with a standard heater like you would use in your house.

what do you do with the styro?

I take the styrofoam sheets and tape them to the sides of the aquarium. I make sure I can easily remove the pieces for viewing.

Did it work well probably the best to use is a thermal blankie.
