I put my fish in the same day. Never had a problem or a spike.

honestly i feel all these products work well. its up to you and your taste on what brand u prefer. i love Seachem and stand behind all there products. my next choice is tetra safe start i use that mostly to start up customer tanks.

you guys were talking about overdosing on these products and i feel there is no such a thing haha. look at what you have there....BACTERIA. u can never have too much bacteria or bio media. the more the better. even if u add the whole bottle all that will survive will be what ur live stock can support.

in other words if u have 5 fish in a tank and put one whole bottle that can handle 10 fish, the bacteria thats for the other 5 fish will die as ur 5 fish cant produce enough ammonia or "waste" to sustain that bacteria.

most people look at the aquarium hobby as a kind of a science, i look at it as a form of art and no tank is the same. just cause i do something doesnt mean it will work for you even if all the variables are the safe.

GL OP.
