Superworms are great for aro food...they have a softer exoskeleton that is a lot easier to digest for the aro than the regular mealworms.
If you want to bulk up your aro...gut load the superworms. Live feeders are by far the worse in that they carry disease that can kill your aro. Just look at how the feeders are kept in lfs. If you want to feed feeders...I suggest breeding your own...this way you know it's clean and disease free. Convicts are a easy fish to breed...and they can breed like a mother.
Prawns, beefheart, chickenheart are another great source for protein to bulk up you aro.
Good luck.

cool!!! thanks for all the info guy's i really appreciate it!!!TLkmDN;1115109; said:i wouldnt suggest the meaty foods such as beef or chicken hearts....they r oily and fatty (some people think that cud result in dropeye) plus it really dirties ure water like mad. its true that feeders can cause disease so the risks could be high. i guess the safest thing is frozen prawns/shrimp, that way u get the best of both worlds.
DownUnder;1115707; said:from my own experience worms and centipedes get grinded up as they pass down the throats of my aros... i wouldn't juz say aros also... but most fishes grind up food as it passes down... never had any bad experiences wif feeding them live food b4... so i wun know... i guess everything has it's pros and cons...
