What is the best lighting to use for channa???

Can anyone tell me what lighting you guys use for Channa Gachua and Channa Marulioides? Does it really help with its colouration?

No? I dont think you can tan a snakehead, only Asian arowanas?

I thought there are some light example UV LED light or something to boost its appearance. I' m currently just using normal white aquarium lamp.

Really? I thought people used tanning lights only for arowanas. I never knew it could affect other fish too.

No not for tanning only artificial effects from the light.

Depends on what color your channa has as base, using the lights thats for that color base would enhance its visually to you, and wouldn't really have any real effect on the fish's actual colouration. I use red base lights for my red marulioides. And will be getting blue based lights for my aurantimaculata when it grows up in size. The light i used is a china based brand called jiyin(吉印) not sure if you can get it if you are not in SEA or china tho
