What is the best small aquarium kit deal

Oh so 72 for a whole outfit? Well you could get a 10 gallon at petco for 13. Get a heater for around 10. Filter for 11. Light for 12 bucks. Glass lid if you want it for 20. Same price if you get the glass lid but some of the items, like the filter, would be better than the crap that usually comes with those kits. You could probably go cheaper, I just found stuff that was reasonably cheaper with good reviews, also only looked at each item for all of 5 seconds. Look around and you could get everything for 50 maybe less. Just gotta play the on sale wait game.

heaters for a 10 gallon will cost you 20, cheapest filters for a 10 would be more like 16-17, lights are crazy pricey at Petco they are like 40 bucks for the cheapest combo top. And the individual LEDs cost more than the whole 52 dollar kit. I work at Petco currently. Trust me the 72 or the 52 is a little cheaper than buying everything separately. I've walked around with customers and priced it out.

I was talking about the prices at Petco, Yes you can definitely get some things cheaper on amazon or if you buy Chinese brands or even buy used, I said all this in my first post as well

Oh I thought the op wanted to get into it as cheaply as possible. Which would be online not petco/petsmart, their stuff is too expensive compared to online for a lot of stuff.

Agreed, Petco has some good deals like the dollar per gallon sale, but for most things if I didn't get a discount I would shop on amazon. I do like to support LFSs as well (not corporations)
