the blue cats around here are taken from the larger rivers running into the chesapeake bay. i usually fish the susquehanna which is the northern most tributary of the bay. The blue cats havent really came up this far but you catch one every once in awhile that has wondered up. Usually best taken on cut bait as MasterB will tell you. Flatheads prefer something alittle more lively and love structure. I don't eat bigger catfish, anything 3-5lbs is considered potential dinner though.

wow swim_errr, nica catches!! how do you cook those fishes? coz the only thing i know for cats is to filet, salt + pepper and fry. thats about it.
