In the late '90s, Royal Clown Loaches used to be fairly common in Seattle area Petsmarts. In hidesight, I wished I'ld set up a tank for them as an investment.
I work at petsmart and personally hate the fish we carry. However, the Brown Knifes and Senegals are pretty cool. Word is we're going to be having a promotion going on soon where we carry a bunch of oddball fish for a few months. Hopefully it's over priced so when it goes on clearance i can hop right on it
I've seen some really cool fish in multiple chain stores I've seen the following at a petco and a pet supply's plus as well as a petsmart:
Discus (I'm not joking)
Large Angelfish
German blue Rams
"Balloon" Rams

Idk that's all I can think of right now I feel like I've seen pretty much everything in chain stores it's just that 1 out of every 20 chains is worth going to but you never know which ones until you try them out. I'm waiting for the day I go in to find something really cool in one for one of my own tanks like a ray or another aro!! I personally bought the jardini when I saw him and I might get a fire eel if they have any next time I'm in the area and stop in.
