Just because its white does not mean it is ick. If the salt and high temp have not cured it in 10 days, I would bet that it is Columnarius and this noramlly looks like the fishes skin is peeling and whitish. And ick on the other hand just looks like the fish is covered in grains of salt. A picture would help alot here as well. But if it is columnarius then a good treatment would be a antifungal medication coupled with a antibiotic. I would suggest jungle labs brand fungus clear tablets. they have everything needed to fight columnarius and also a antibiotic to fight off any secondary infection all in one easy to use tablet.
it is ick it looks like grains of salt ive had ick b4. the tank has been running for about a year or 2. i have just started the ich attack treatment yesterday. it says on the bottle to change the water after treatment those that means after every time i put in the meds or after its all gone

pbass are very susceptible to ich/disease like ich.........

i thought my temensis had ich until some members told me that it wasnt ich......... they told me to use salt and bump the temp and the white spots went away.

whether your pbass has ich/some other type of white spot disease, a bumped temp and added salt should clear it up.

Rid ich should help too if it is ich.......

also, can we see pics of your pbass with the white spots:D
