Anybody have any tops or tricks? This will be first time for me.. I did do a little research but wouldn't mind hearing some personal experiences.

Do a rough cut with a table saw, then clean the edge with a router.

exactly wat he said

well, we use acrylic when we make our prototypes at school, when we need to cut an acrylic we score it first along its grain then we apply pressure until it cracks...then we sand the edges...but we usually do it on white acrylic...hope this helps

Not ideal for cell cast acrylic in aquarium thicknesses.

Tablesaw, circular saw, or jig saw (with water sprayed on the blade to prevent melting), followed up with a router to clean up the edge. Edges I'm going to join I actually made a tool for sanding the edges after routing as well, to ensure they were as smooth as possible.

The water is a good idea. You will have some melting. It can be done either way, but the water might make it easier.

shouldn't need water with a sharp table saw. I wasn't very clear I guess, sorry about that, I meant use water cooling if you use a jigsaw.
