Many people just don't know what the normal rate is for aquatic supplies. I've seen tons of craigslist adds where people pay 2-3 times the amount of an item from overpriced LPS's. Then they try to get back what they paid by saying it cost me over whatever amount. Retail price (in Canada at least) for an fx5 is $450...and that's right from the Hagen book itself.
my 150g setup (everything brand new from the LFS in Canada) was $2000.

I have never paid more then $200 Canadian for an FX5. I have 2. One was $200 the other $175. Borh came with sponges etc...etc....
