earthearters can be pretty chill ... they might bully each other a bit , but they are community friendly as far as cichlids go . and of course angelfish , rams , etc ....

^ I agree 100%. Every species of non spotted Satanoperca I have ever kept has been the most peaceful genus I've had experience with. Not too sure on the spotted species (daemon, lilith, acuticeps), I've never kept those species before but I imagine they are similar in temperment.
Some of the responses here are proper facepalm worthy.
Keyholes are definitely up there. Agree with Checkerboards. Eartheaters are actually reasonably aggressive, but keeping them socially combined with a mouth that can't do any real damage means it's all good.
I agree on keyhole and rams being pretty peaceful. I have to disagree on severums. Although they may be pretty laid back when they are small, a big male can be pretty territorial. I recently moved my 8-9" male out of my 120 south american tank where he kept 2 6" chocolates and 2 6" uaru running for cover all the time. He's now in my 180 community central american tank and is still towards the top of the pecking order.
