What is the meanest african cichlid?? in your opinion??

Kenyi's and red zebras.. but by far Kenyi-they beat up everything and chase relentlessly.

These fish are'nt really mean,it's just that they defend such a large territorial space in their native lakes that most tanks dont allow for their space requirements so we have to put up with them chase one another.

i had a Jack Dempsey for about 4 years, this thing was so mean, it ruled the whole left side of my tank with authority, until it crushed its face on the tank wall chasing a red jewel

Smaller tanks will definately amplify hyperdominance and aggressive behavior, regardless of species in most cases.

The meanest african I ever had was a protoemelas taeniolatus and he was unstoppable! He killed many of my other fish ruthlessly!
