Oscar AND GT in a 55g?! definitely not
I've seen it happen... just saying.
- And everywhere i have seen it, hardly any aggression what-so-ever.

It's not just about aggression. It's more about the potential adult size of these fish being kept together in a 55 gallon for life. A 55 is too small for an adult Oscar, extremely small for an Oscar and GT.

its not about aggression its about size, hard to fight over space when there isnt any and they can hardly move

They both looked healthy in the tank when I saw them, maybe i must've been seein things, but I was darn sure it was a GT and oscar.
- For life, 9 times outta 10, no. But, for a pretty good long time, yes.

Depends on what you consider a long time. The growth rate of a healthy Oscar is rapid.

To the OP, I think Sarah gave you some very good suggestions.

UGH!!! I swear....there should be some sort of LITMUS TEST for people to give advice on here. For the past 6 months, I have seen the WORST advice posts & Thread questions on here (USE GOOGLE & THE SEARCH FUNCTION TO LOOK FOR AN ANSWER BEFORE YOU POST A QUESTION THATS BEEN ASKED 4000 TIMES ~not directed at the original poster~ just speaking in general!) and Ive been off and on since 2006.

MFK is getting STUCK ON STUPID!

:wall: Do you ever feel like nobody listens or reads any threads on these subjects. It's the same thing over and over. I'll say it again please do not consider a 55 gallon tank a viable option for housing an Oscar. There's no aggression in a Sardine can either, just saying.
