I am highly questioning the suitability of my API test kit. I want the real numbers and the satisfaction of knowing they are correct. Anyone have a good experience with a method or product that is accurate ? :)
Thanks in advance MFK'ers

Good question.

I've always wondered which is more accurate, the liquid or the powdered one.

I have both, API liquid tests, and API test stripes.....

Ok, then out of test strips, liquid and powdered which is the most accurate? I know the test strips suck.

i have thought about this as well. But for me I came up with "well if I have any ammonia or nitrite then there is a problem" and for PH I am not going to get a ro/di unit so thats out the window for accuracy. And for nitrate I just stick to my water change schedule and let be.

Both usually give me around the same results.....

yea I have tested api liquid against there strips and they do Suck

I maintain Aquariums and my boss orders the powdered kit for us to use at clients home/business. I hate using it and want him to order the liquid testers but he says that the powdered are more accurate. I'm thinking that the powdered one is probably cheaper for him to order. and that's why he prefers it. This is why I am so curious. I prefer the liquid.

ugh I wish there was an affordable option that worked.

I saw a link on here the other day. Online it had the API liquid test kit for 23 bucks.
I wish I could remember where I saw that on here...
