What is the most amazing fish relationship you experienced?

rumblesushi just posted a thread how his snakehead and pbass paired up. That is pretty amazing!

I'am sure most heard off this lion adopting baby antilopes. There must be some amzing stories in the fishkeeeping community as well.

My black aro seems to like the bigger SAL. She touches him when he swimms by. And my C Semifasciata has many preferences, but that's about it.

My Tiger Oscar and my Indo Tiger Dat seem to like to hang out together....They are always by each other no matter where they are in the tank!

Jen ;)

My peruvian gar and silver aro, they use to be in a 75 gal until the other gar was killed, then we transfered the remaining gar and aro to a 190 gal, and they are the best of friends...

I know of a person who has a big red devil that refused to eat one of the feeder gold fish put in with it. They have been together for about 3 years now, the gold fish is about 3/4 the size of the red devil now. The owner regulary (against my advise) puts feeders in the tank and the red devil eats them up but never harms the one he grew up with. Pretty weird.

Another customer of mine told me last week that they have a pirahna doing the same thing. She said the gold fish has been in with the pirahns for a few months now with out being harmed but any new feeders are eatten real quick. I told her "give it time".

i posted this earlier. my post seemed to have disappeard. any way my channel cat and my polypterus senegalus never leave each others side.

This lady gave me a tinfoil barb and a bloodparrot. The tinfoil is about 8", the blood parrot is 4".. They have been living togethor in an Eclipse 12g since they were babies. They NEVER leave each others side, it's almost disgusting.

I used to have a female betta that would rub up against my finger, like a cat.

And my Palmas and Ornate are always together. They will chase each other around the tank.

But the best was one fearless archer that like nothing better then to spit in my face. :)

Maybe they don't leave eatchothers sides because they are 8" and 4" in a 12g tank. :D

I had an oscar and a convict together and when the convict started dieing the oscar would nudge her around and push her right side up. She would also chase away the catfishes whenever they got to close. It was as if she had a batch of fry or something. Anyway, I had to put the convict down and after I did the oscar sulked for a few days.

Joel, I find that if one of my posts disappears it is usually because I clicked below the "post" button. I relly hate doing that.

I have a goldfish that lives with my softshells. It managed to survive for a few months, and now it is to big to eat. I wouldn't say the turtles and goldfish are best friends, but they live together fine. Every once in a while, if the gold fish is sitting directly in front of the turtles (rubbing againt their noses), the fish takes a dry hit (closed mouth).
