Had a 20" + rubber eel (Typhlonectes natans) get sucked into my FX5 canister filter. The 2 piece intake basket bottom came off and got sucked in a 5 foot tube into the canister. It was pretty gruesome. Eel was all swollen 2 times the normal size from the water flow.

you're aware the "Rubber Eel" is actually a family of Amphibian called the Caecillian?

My Axolotl was electrocuted when a small Chiller I had fell into the tank sparks everywhere. I was away when it happened too .

Dang thats sad, always wanted one of those little critters, haven't seen one in person yet. Lesson learned! Haha better luck next time !
