What is the most ridiculous overcrowding you have seen?

That photo always amazes me - found it somewhere online - freaks me out how someone could do that, thats why I posted it in my 'Giga thread - to show what NOT to do! And a reminder of how big the fish get..... It's funny, as soon as I saw the title of this thread, I knew that tank would come up!

Beautiful fish, horrible treatment.

How can they all survive in there?! That's what I want to know! The owner must have a filtration system the same size as the tank!

There is no way those fish all reside in that tank as a permanent residence. Its gotta be set-up for the photo. I see it all the time with reef tanks, set-up for a photo op and then off to the proper tanks for the corals. It has to be the same thing.

The worst that I personally saw was a photo on line of a guy's tank with 80 full grown African's in a 60 gallon tank. Funny thing was is that they all looked healthy and were thriving. :nilly:

I can beat all that? at wal-mart (of corse), to people bout a 5 gallon acrylic, no heaters, and to go in it would be 2 oscars a pleco, a pacu, and 3 blackskirt tetras and 6 neons. I argued with the b!tch and I qoute "they're just fish. who cares about a house decoration." :irked:  she was stupid

Worse I have ever seen is at one of the petstores around me. I usually never go there but.....
They had in one 55 gallon a 2.5 foot silver arrowana:WHOA: which looked terrible. The other 55 had a bunch of large cats in them all from 9-12": 2xRTC 1x asian RTC 2xTSN 1xMarbled Pim. Then on top of that they had 3 maybe 8" oscars with BAD HITH. All that was on the tank was an undergravel with bubblers in it! I walked outta there and said I am going to TAKE that silver aro if it isnt gone next time I go there. It is rediculous.

Tough to return the neons when you can't produce any bodies...

also in the food cort at the mall, at this italian food shop, the is a tank that probably roughly a quarter of a gallon, with a 4" pleco 2 cories and a betta
