What is the rarest fish you have or ever had

LOL I put 14 giant danios in a quarantine tank for 5 weeks, when I removed them I had so many fry I didn't know what to do. I now have a school of 40+ of them in a 125 gallon tank, and honestly, they either need to be split up or move to a bigger tank. I hope they don't breed again. Not rare!

I have a tiger loach. I don't see them very often.

It all depends on the area. i live in new jersey and even finding a petshop is a hassle, than to find a small delhezi is like trying to find a 1" needle in a huge hay stack. lol

Im in Canada and it seems every big chain of LFS has them. They sell for approx $15 a piece @ 1-2 inches, and one tank might have 50 delhezi in it.

This advise may be silly, but its gotten a LOT of fry both with danios and giant danios.... make a reservoir of waste water. When you vacuum your tank collect the waste water into a reservoir. I keep vacuuming up the eggs and then they hatch in the reservoir. The fry swim right at the surface and are easy to catch with a plastic cup (don't use a net). From there, put them in a grow out tank.

I used to store all my old tank water for at least 2 weeks before dumping it in the garden. I grew out a and sold entirely too many fry doing that. Now I just put in the garden directly, I just don't have the time and energy for the fry tanks.

I have never, ever seen a delhezi at petco, petsmart or any other chain like that. I prefer to buy my fish at a independent lfs though. Like i said it depends totally on the area.
