rtc are rare where i come from as im the only one that keeps them. but for me it has to be a albino wels and my jelly cat and tsn marbled pim

Well I guess it depends on where you live...cause some fish are difficult to acquire in certain areas, and the same fish easy to acquire in others. I don't have anything rare at the moment...just calvus, comps, cyps....but its worth noting that petsmarts in my area don't carry them. lol

for me just 3 decent sized thinbars around 6inches so nothing too rare...oh and cleanbio I think I have your avatars brother.....

Wow, amazing! Only 5 pages of posts and over 50 species of rare, very rare and somewhat rare fish are listed! Nice job MFK :)

(I hadn't even heard of many of them lol)

I sort of impulsed bought when I first got started. I ended up with an odd collection of mostly pretty common fish. I have since decided to focus on keeping fish that are more rare than others.

What a shopping list this thread would be huh?

Anyone else keeping any rare fish?

Again, nice job all!

This thread fails without pics.
Got some shots of them, but the camera died while uploading. Here's what came through:

I'll add the Short-bodied Paratilapia Polleni's new pics soon, but there are also some old shots in my albums...

My rarest ones are probably my black bar (wide bar) silver dollars. I lucked out one day and found 6 of them at the lfs. The owner said they were in the same bag with regular SD's and he hadn't seen them in the store for a few years.
