I had an 8" Serrasalmus Maculatus bite through a net and end up flopping on the floor while I was bare foot! Since he rendered the net useless I had to carefully but quicly grab him with my hands to throw him in the tank. They say that the most dangerous piranha is the one flopping on the floor, but luckily I managed to defuse the situation with my fingers intact and the fish fine!

I had the same experience with RBPs.. My wifes uncle stood up and was walking out
of the room as soon as he saw the P in the floor.. LOL..

10$ flowerhorn. shoulda left her there.

When I used to work in a fish store, we got an order of two adult wild Discus. Things were in the $100 range and just gigantic! This one customer came in and wanted one, when I was netting it out… it jumped! And it landed right on its flat side, all I heard was just a loud slap against the floor.

I grabbed the Discus and threw him back in the tank, the guy bought the second Discus. The funny thing is, next day he comes in and the Discus died in his tank while the one I have dropped we had for a couple of weeks until someone bought it!

that happened to me when i sold my mixed pygo shoal i was netting my piraya which cost around £150 or $260 to have it shipped over from fishpost in the states and thats not including petrol to pick it up from down the country.
i was picking up my first green aro and dropping the pygos off at the same time and was in a hurry and netted my piraya which bit through the net and onto the floor in front of my now screaming g/f.
i picked it up and put it in the transport bucket with no probs it was quite calm.

i have droped a few aros all of them are fine but if you ever had to move an aro you know how i feel... their like snakes they just slide right out of the net our your had..

My giant blue betta ended up on the floor twice one day.. He jumped out of the cup I had him in when I was cleaning the tank and then again when I went to pick him up. He ended up fine.

I've also had a one foot oscar jump out of the tank when someone was watching him for me. They forgot about him and he was angry and hungry. Sadly, he didn't make it.:(

man alot of people dropping arros, must be a hard fish to move. I havent dropped any fish yet, but yesterday i netted a gold barb and thought he made it into the other tank, few minutes later i noticed he was still caught in the net that had been sitting on a towell. He seems fine still.

my 30" sh... it crwaled a good 10 feet then i grabbed it with a towel
