What is the rarest type of crayfish?

I got out of cherax a couple years ago, but I think the red one posted on the first page might go under the generic name of red brick. Try google cherax red brick.
 
Id pay a mini fortune if I could get one of the cave crayfish :) like the one featured on dirty jobs.

That's something on my list of things to get... Absolutely need to get at some point, haha.

Cherax sp. Rainbow, I think.

Red Bricks are a bit more muted and limited in coloration, though very similar. Not to say that it couldn't be, but it doesn't really look like the typical Red Brick coloration.

what cray fish is that?

any picture and where its from and sci name?
 
This has to be the rarest type of cray... although i think its actually a lobster, i forget... any way picture was originally posted somewhere on MFK by Lupin i think i was... something like one in every million are born this way although again, could very well be wrong...

Yea, that's a lobster. I've seen one other one before (blue and white), it's in an aquarium in MA. Absolutely the coolest thing I've seen, invert wise. I also believe that with that coloration split there was also a gender split (or not split but presence of both M&F organs rather)... though, that might have been another incident that I'm thinking of.
