Females can't cup their anal fins. The reason males cup their anal fins is to catch the eggs as the female lays them so that they can fertilize the eggs. The only reason yours would be cupping would be because the longfin gene has caused it's fin to just be long.

Yeah I'm aware of the cupping reason. But Hummm interesting well maybe I'll add the one I know for sure is a male and see what happens
Indeed Lol I just hope mine is a female...I have my doubts because of how wide that fin is but it is nowhere near as thick as the male I found.
Woke up this morning and his left eye is swollen and cloudy....I'm assuming he ran into something last night.
Is it swollen or is it just cloudy? It may be the pics but it doesn't seem swollen at least not to an outrageous extent. Either way it seems like it's either cloudy eye or like you said just a bite. Both will heal in time with some frequent water changes. Not like everyday (unless that's what you want to do), but maybe a little more often until the eyes is cleared up.
It was swollen this morning but it is already looking better. And I do 2-3 WCs a week. 20-50% so I'm sure he will recover fast. I had a puffer back a few months and it destroyed its fins and they recovered in a week I was shocked.
