WHAT is this about?

Its poop that didnt get fully digested before it got pooped out. Probably because who ever you had feeding them feed way to much, so it just got shoved out. My cousin has two oscars and he over feeds them i see similar looking stuff in his tank all the time

I was feeding the ray again this morning and gave it an entire shrimp in small pieces and surely enough similar stuff was pooped out shortly after. Seems to be the explanation. Good news is its nothing to worrry about bad news is I should feed it less ;)

Next time, put the food in portions so you won't have to worry about the sitter over-feeding your fish. My father really prefers this method when he had to feed my fish.

I'd keep an eye on this. White stringy poop can be a sign of internal parasites. Overfeeding isn't *necessarily* the problem, although it seems most likely.

I concur with Ben.. particularly with rays.. my retics took a few monthes and a few treatment if IP meds before they where cleared. But I don't feed market shrimp either so idk what a normal poop from this would look like. I wouldn't worry but I would keep an eye on it.

Due to the blurry picture it looks like a discarded condom.
