What is this? (advice please)

I can only state my own opinion and what I'd do....I do not think it's ich. You've doubled the treatments by doing meds at the same time as salt/heat and for 3 wks it didn't change a thing. The natural life cycle of ich is about 3 days at 86 degrees. If it were ich then they'd have matured, hatched and spread 2 1/2 wks ago time and again. Look up lymphocystis , here's a link to start at:

My male Sev has actually had bumps like that at various times that went away on their own. I never really knew what it was but he's in his same tank with his same tankmates and they've always gone away so I didn't much worry about them.
If they were my fish (I know they're not) I'd let it ride with nothing but fresh clean water for a week or 10 days. No meds, salt or and certainly not MelaFix. If by some chance it's ich (I don't think it is) you'd definitely know it by then and could treat with the higher amount of salt.

Well I do appreciate and respect your opinion, thank you. There have been a couple people on this thread mention can go away on it's own and they have seen it on their sevs as well. I guess it won't hurt to keep the treatment going for a while longer and see if it helps now that I've upped the salt <or> it goes away on it's own.

[crosses fingers] ;)
