What is this algae?

Here's some hair algae I try to promote the growth of in a sump.
Some of this is 3" long.

It is definitely not hair algae

It's probably some type of beard algae or a fungus. Turn off flow in tank, scrape off glass with a razor and syphon it out.

Someone on another forum posted up this pic. Nobody has seen anything like it. Do you know what it is?

It’s just a type of BBA, I have a similar one in my tank but it’s darker green
