  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i have seen green sunfish in the wild and at cabelas chase bigger bass and other fish away from there spot were they are resting, i am sure the green since it bigger than the bass can hold its own for a long while

reminds me of a pumpkinseed i had

Your big problem is tank size. 30g and under isn't big enough for green sunfish to establish territories and coexist peacefully with each other and other fish.

55g might be ok, but bigger would be better. They seem to keep to themselves given enough room and good aquascaping. None of mine have ever bothered other fish unless picked on themselves. The one I have now in my 125g is fully mature and he's peaceful unless another fish messes with him, then you get to see what he can do :D.
It helps to have several fish to spread the aggression also. With just 2 fish there's more chance for one picking on the other.

Thanks. We pulled him from the 30 and have him in time out in a 10 untill the 55+ is ballanced. Then we will put him in the 55+. The 30 now has only 4 yellow lab ciclids. Its now the wifes tank. :)
